Students from all over the world will travel to NY for the Big M Summit to meet in person and grow their relationships with their individual mentors who they have been working with over these last few months. Students will also have the opportunity to meet other influential Jewish professionals who will share their personal and professional stories of success as well as create lifelong friendships with other Jewish students.

Identify, cultivate, and train 100 mentors who will positively impact an Olami student's life. Olami attracts and retains high caliber mentors to serve as positive influences and support for our college students and young professionals. This allows for close relationships to be developed that serve as inspiration on what it means to be a committed Jew in the workplace.

Every day of the Summit, our students will have designated (and informal!) times to learn more about their Jewish heritage, their connection to Israel, and instill Jewish identity and pride. Sponsor one Day of Learning during the summit in memory or honor of a loved one!

The week will culminate in an incredible gala dinner and concert. Sponsor a table and join the festivities as we come together to celebrate Jewish life around the world.

About the big m Summit

The Big M is a global movement of meaningful connection through mentorship. The Big M Summit welcomes over 1200 mentors and mentees from around the world to celebrate the mentorship community – a community that is committed to the personal and professional success of each individual.

Each day will include several mentorship experiences - including professional and spiritual mentorship, peer and reverse mentorship. Delegates meet with community members at our venue, in their offices and their homes. It's an immersive and impactful program for our mentees and mentors!

Candice Ackermann

Managing Attorney, Visa Law Pros​

Since founding her own immigration law firm in New York City in early 2009, Candice L. Ackermann, Esq. has represented dozens of individuals and multinational corporate clients in connection with a wide array of U.S. immigration law matters, including preparation and filing of non-immigrant visa petitions, family and employment-based green card applications, self-sponsoring individuals of extraordinary ability, and applications for naturalization.

Sasha Salama

Anchor/Reporter, Media Trainer, Presentation Coach

Sasha Salama is a veteran broadcast journalist with more than 20 years of experience in the U.S. and overseas. Ms. Salama has interviewed hundreds of CEOs and newsmakers as an anchor and correspondent for CNN, CNBC in the U.S. and Asia, Reuters, Nightly Business Report and Asia Business News.

Jonathan Rabinow

Chief Investment Officer, Lightstone Group

Jonathan Rabinow is Senior Vice President of Investments and Capital Markets at Lightstone. Prior to joining Lightstone, Mr. Rabinow was Managing Director with Argent Ventures. Previously, he served as a Senior Vice President and Head of Investments at RXR Realty where he led a team who invested in over $5 billion of assets. Earlier in his career, Mr. Rabinow served as Vice President at Racebrook Capital, a Warburg Pincus portfolio company specializing in the acquisition of distressed real estate assets. Mr. Rabinow earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Rabbi Avi Cassel
Regional Director, North America
Rabbi Avi Cassel directs over 110 Olami programs, servicing more than 20,000 students around North America. He also oversees STARS, a multi-organization partnership project in the former Soviet Union. Rabbi Cassel is a graduate of the world’s top yeshivot including Mir, Lakewood, and Ner Israel, and has more than 15 years of management and education experience for Olami.
