Ben Shimoni
Ravid Katz, the man and the legend, is no longer with us.
The amazing father of Shahar, Shira, and Alma will not return. Revital and the girls waited for him for 51 days. 51 days that felt like an eternity. The father who had everything: education and a smile, seriousness and laughter, responsibility and caring, swiftness and love for the land, had been missing since he fought for the country he loved so much until 51 days later, it was learned that he was no longer among the living. A day for every year.
His 51 years were dedicated to creating meaningful experiences for his wife, his daughters, and his students. Ravid was an educator who knew how to connect with children and youth, students and instructors. A man of values and joy of life, who taught and encouraged exploration and questioning, connection and love, laughter and enjoyment of the small things in life. And he is no longer with us. May his memory be a blessing.
