Rabbi Chaim Gogek has been heading the world renowned Aish Ulpan Program for the past 25 years, yet the classes never turn stale! Rabbi Gogek completed his BA at Brandeis University with a major in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies. Two years later he came to study at BMT, where he stayed for 2 years, getting married and making aliya simultaneously. He continued learning in Kollel for three years in a special program called “Meretz” (located in Mevaseret Tzion) receiving rabbinic ordination as well as preparation for teaching in the Israeli school system. Rabbi Gogek and his family then moved to Kiryat Arba, where he taught boys in a very special Talmud Torah. Rabbi Gogek currently lives with his wife and family in Kiryat Moshe, Jerusalem.

Rabbi Dr. Yosef Lynn has served as mashgiach ruchani (dean of students) and senior lecturer at Yeshivas Machon Yaakov in Jerusalem since its inception in 2005. In addition, he is the founder and director of the “Greatness Within Seminars”, a Career Discovery Coach, an author, and a program director for MEOR.

He holds a Doctorate in Human and Organizational Psychology (PsyD) and a Master in Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP)

Rabbi Schoonmaker came to Shapell’s in Elul, 5777 after 16 successful years as the Rosh Beit Midrash at Aish HaTorah. He developed curricula and programs for the Yeshiva, mentored faculty, and has guided the academic and spiritual growth of hundreds of students. An alumnus of NCSY (and later a faculty member of their acclaimed Summer Kollel), he learned at Kerem B’Yavneh, Heichal HaTorah, Yeshivas Mir, and Birchas Mordechai, and has smicha from HaRav Zalman Nechemia Goldberg, שליט”א.

Rabbi Ephraim Baer has been teaching Torah to students of all ages for the past 35 years. For 20 years he taught in various day schools from grade 2 through 8 . In 1996, he was asked to give a gemara skills shiur for people who work during the day. For the past 25 years his focus has been on developing an innovative and effective approach to help students develop the tools and skills necessary to learn gemara independently. For 12 years he taught in Yeshiva Ohr Somayach in Monsey,New York . During his last 7 years there he designed, directed and taught at the Lahav program, a year long program designed to help motivated students develop independent learning skills in chumash, mishnah,and gemara. Currently, he teaches gemara skills in The Shaar program at Yeshivas Sh’or Yoshuv in Lawrence, New York. Rabbi Baer also tutors individuals and groups in person, on the phone and over zoom.

 Rabbi Peretz (Perry) Segal was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and educated at King David School, Victory Park.

He joined the Center Program staff a division of Ohr Somayach, Jerusalem in 1998. Today he serves as a senior lecturer and Mashgiach on the program.

He is author of Vagueness Vanquished, founder and Mashgiach of Kollel Eitz Pri and Academy of Life Training (ALT) and a lecturer at Ner Le’elef, Ohr LaGolah and Jerusalem Kollel.

R’ Segal lives with his wife and family in Ramot, a neighbourhood of Jerusalem.

Rabbi Jacobs is Co-Founder, Director and a Senior Lecturer at Machon Yaakov. Originally from Ocala, Florida, Rabbi Jacobs was until 2003 a senior managing director at JP Morgan, where he oversaw global stock research on telecommunications and provided strategic advice on some of the largest mergers in media/telecom history. Prior to that, he was a partner and senior telecom analyst at Sanford Bernstein, and was three times elected to the Institutional Investor All-American Analyst team. He has acted as a frequent commentator on network television and in leading newspapers and magazines, and has testified several times before the U.S. Congress. His credits in print and broadcast journalism include nominations for both the Pulitzer Prize for investigative journalism and the Emmy Award. Rabbi Jacobs holds an MS in Journalism from Columbia University (1985) and a BA in History from Northwestern University, where he graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa (1983). Rabbi Jacobs left Wall Street in the Summer of 2003 to move his family to Israel to pursue full-time his interest in studying and teaching Jewish law, philosophy and business ethics.

Rav Yitzchak Berkovits is the Rosh Yeshiva of the Aish HaTorah Yeshiva in Jerusalem. He is a leading expert on Mitzvot Bein Adam L’Chavero, the Torah’s wisdom regarding interpersonal relationships, and is the Posek and spiritual guide for hundreds of Jewish outreach professionals and many organizations around the world. Before assuming the position of Dean at the Aish HaTorah Yeshiva, Rabbi Berkovits was the founder and Dean of The Jerusalem Kollel and has been the Mashgiach Ruchani of Aish HaTorah for 16 years.

Asher Yablok is the director of the Olami Online Yeshiva. He earned his masters in Jewish education and semicha form Yeshiva University as well as Rav Zalman Nechemia Goldberg. Rabbi Yablok has been involved in Jewish education for the past 18 years running schools in Long Island, St. Louis, Atlanta, and Teaneck. In addition to the online yeshiva, he is currently the principal of Ohr Yisroel in Tenafly, New Jersey. He is also a recognized mohel and has been privileged to serve in that capacity around the country.

The Olami Online Yeshiva is where college students and young professionals from around the world can study Torah together with all-start educators. We offer a wide variety of classes and learning opportunities. The online Yeshiva is not just a series of classes, it is a community of like-minded, growh oriented men. Welcome aboard!
What is the cost of the program?

The four week session costs $99 for young professionals and $69 for college students. Anyone who registers before April 5th will be receive a 30% early bird discount.

How can I choose my classes?

Once you’ve registred, a Yeshiva representative will reach out to welcome you. At that point you will be able to see the full schedule and choose your classes.

What is the time commitment?

Full membership includes a minimum of two classes (they meet once a week for about an hour each) and one weekly 1:1 chavrusa session.

Is there someone available to learn with me 1:1?

Yes! Every student in the Online Yeshiva is paired with chavrusa/study partner with each week.
